The spring and summer of 2020 will be the 60th season the Minnesota Twins, Twins Community Fund and Play Ball! Minnesota, in partnership with Great River Energy, will offer free youth baseball and softball clinics.

Created in 1961 by longtime Twins scout Angelo Giuliani, the clinic program serves as a way for Play Ball! Minnesota to promote baseball and softball to boys and girls throughout the Upper Midwest. Since the beginning of the program, an estimated 800,000 youth have participated.

Play Ball! Minnesota Youth Clinics have always been available to participants for free. Additionally, there is no cost for a community to host a clinic. The program is presented in partnership with Great River Energy.

The Play Ball! Minnesota Youth Clinics are designed to teach fundamentals including hitting, throwing, and defense. Along with teaching fundamentals, clinics spread the joy and fun of baseball and softball. The clinics are intended for boys and girls ages 6-13. Clinics are 90 minutes. Play Ball! Minnesota provides safe, youth-friendly, equipment. Youth participants are asked to bring their gloves.
